About

Made of White is a design and product studio, and a creative practice. We were founded on the belief that design is one of the most misunderstood disciplines of our time.

As tools became accessible and visual trends became commodities, design was reduced to its surface: screens, rectangles, animations and polish. Its deeper purpose was obscured.

We believe design is not decoration. It is the intentional shaping of systems, behaviours, experiences, products, services, narratives and futures. It is analytical and creative, rational and emotional, strategic and human.

What we believe

Design is understanding
The interface is not the design. The logo is not the design. They are outputs of deeper thinking about people, systems, incentives, behaviour, culture, constraints, technology and time.
Simplicity is earned
Great design feels simple because complexity has been carefully resolved beneath the surface, not because it was reduced for looks.
Process matters
Research, iteration, prototyping, writing, critique and refinement are not invisible steps. They are the craft itself, so we show our thinking.
Design shapes culture
Design is never neutral. It shapes how people think, behave and live, which is why it carries responsibility.
Utility creates value
